Wendy Holt, Director of the CAC and Exchange Chairperson of our Child Abuse Prevention Committee presents a Foundation check for $1,000 to Regina Burke – CASA

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and many activities are scheduled.

Activities will kick off April 1 with the planting of pinwheels at several locations across the area including Clark State downtown, Oesterlen Services for Youth, Rocking Horse Center, Springview Government Center, the Clark County Juvenile Court, and the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services.

There are numerous easy ways anyone can show support by taking selfies, and posting to

social media. Be sure to tag the Family and Children Services Facebook page with individual or group selfies and include #PinwheelSelfie

Other activities include a “Wear Blue to Work Day” on April 13 and a “Wear an Ugly Tie Day” on April 22, 2016, as there is nothing uglier than child abuse.

Project Jericho youth participants and family members were busy last week preparing ornaments for Clark State’s Blue Ribbon Tree.

Blue Monday’s”, wearing blue each Monday in April, as well as wearing our Blue Ribbon Pin is also recommended.
