Rob Lavoie, the new Executive Director of the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America visited our club and received a check for $1,000 from President Jim Hutchins and our Foundation. We help to provide the necessary funds to ensure a quality Scouting program for youth. We help keep the cost of Council Camps affordable, the Council Service Centers and camp facilities in top condition, and the promise of a quality Scouting experience for sons, or daughters, and others in Scouting.
It costs the Tecumseh Council approximately $170 to provide a quality Scouting experience for one registered Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturer, or Explorer per year. Parents of Scouts and other neighborhood and community members play an invaluable role in the annual campaign by contributing money that reflects their respect for what the program can achieve and their ability to give. We help keep Scouting strong by participating as a Friend of Scouting. Mr. Lavoie thanked us for our generous support!
