The Exchange Club of Springfield met at Linardos Villa on Tuesday January 17th, 2017 to honor the first four of twelve Clark County high school seniors. The seniors are, Shelby Smith of Kenton Ridge, Krista Felzien of Northeastern, Whitney Sylvester from Shawnee, and Chiristopher Baird from Greenon High School.
Each student will be presented with an honorarium of $100 as well as a Youth of the Month Certificate from the National Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio. They are eligible to participate in our Youth of the Year Essay Contest. The selected Youth of the Year will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from the Springfield Exchange Club and be entered in the Ohio-West Virginia District Youth of the Year Contest. If selected as the District Youth of the Year, the student will receive a $1,000 college scholarship from our district and will be entered into national competition. If selected as the National Exchange Club Youth of the Year, the student will receive a $10,000 college scholarship.
