The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday September 19, 2017 at Wittenberg University and welcomed LeAnn Castillo, Executive Director of the Clark County National Trail and Parks Department, at their Noon Lunch membership meeting. LeAnn spoke about the many programs offered by the Department. In 2016, more than 1.5 Million people visited the various parks in the county. There were over 151,000 program or activity participants, 405 shelter rentals, nearly 380,000 hours of organized recreation participation and 36,000 swimmers visited the Splash Zone Water Park. Director Castillo estimated the economic impact to Clark County was an amazing $61,200,000 dollars. Club President-Elect Marc Holt, Sr. presented a donation of $250 to the Department from the Exchange Club Foundation of Springfield, Ohio.
