The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio welcomed the Director of the CCDJ&FS Adoption and Foster Care Unit. November is Adoption Month and Faith reported that in 2017 46 children were adopted into 31 families. There are currently about 95 children of all ages in our county foster care system. Some will eventually be adopted, but the hope is that many will be able to return to parents who have made great strides in correcting the actions or behaviors that resulted in their child entering the system. Exchangite Wendy Holt, Chairman of the Child Abuse and Prevention Committee, presented a donation from the Exchange Club of Springfield Foundation in the amount of $500. These funds will be used for the Children’s Services Holiday party on November 28, 2017 for 167 Children and 71 Adults.
