The Exchange Club of Springfield held its 70th Annual Kid’s Day at the Clark County Fair Wednesday July 24, 2019.  Meeting at the Race Track were hundreds of children excited about the contests.  Boys and girls ages 5 – 16 participated in 25, 50, and 75 yard dash heats, 25 yard Sack Race, 25 yard Egg on a Spoon race, and the G. Lee Thompson Memorial Egg Toss.   Cash prizes were awarded for each heat and a number of raffles were called throughout the 90 minute series of events, under a beautiful blue sky with a light and refreshing breeze. Thanks to all Exchange Club members and family members who assisted at the event.  Special thanks to project Chairman Mark Sullivan.

The Exchange Club of Springfield, celebrating its 98th year of serving Springfield and Clark County, has projects throughout the year.  The areas are Community Service, Americanism, Youth, and the National Project – The Prevention of Child Abuse.  The next project will be held at the National Night Out, August 6, 2019, at Snyder Park. featuring tips on Child Abuse Prevention.
