The Exchange Club of Springfield met for its annual Christmas and Charter Anniversary Party at the Springfield Country Club on Tuesday December 17, 2019.  The Club was Chartered by the National Exchange Club on December 15, 1921 with 30 members.  The club is one of 650 clubs throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

The club serves Springfield and Clark County through three Programs of Service and Exchange’s National Project, the prevention of child abuse.  Each local club focuses their energy and attention on their communities’ specific needs. The Programs of Service are Americanism, Youth Programs and Community Service.  The Springfield club has many unique projects such as Kid’s Day at the Clark County Fair, Memorial Day Parade Give-A-Kid-A-Flag-To-Wave, Freedom Shrine installations in schools and public buildings, Youth of the Month and Year honoring local high school seniors, donations to organizations addressing at risk and abused children, and so much more.  The club donates approximately $40,000 per year to local organizations.
