The Exchange Club of Springfield met virtually Tuesday December 15, 2020, to celebrate Christmas as well as the 99th Charter Anniversary of the Club. There were 13 members and three guests “present”.
Guests included Bob Bochie, 2020-21 Ohio-West Virginia District President, Guest Speaker Russ Finney, Immediate Past President of the National Exchange Club, and First Lady Kathie Finney. Russ noted the many and varied accomplishments of the club in its storied past, as well as more recent community activities, including earning the coveted National Exchange Club Big “E” Award, for club excellence. Of some 630 clubs nationally, only 13 attained that exalted ranking this past year. Mr. Finney also spoke of the importance of leadership and creating leaders by encouraging and mentoring new members who wish to take the leader’s role for projects during the year.
