The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met virtually Tuesday February 23, 2021 with 11 members “attending”. President Melissa turned the meeting over to Youth Chair Karen and the members shared their nominations for the Youth awards, along with those that had texted or e-mailed.
The eleven Youths of Month, vying for the tops spots were, – Audrey Hallmark, Springfield HS – Sydney Bell, Southeastern HS – Gabe Ward, Tecumseh HS – Sarah Belenske, CTC – Maleah Tucker, Shawnee HS – Kyla Collins, Kenton Ridge HS – Kaitlyn Miller, GISA – Elizabeth Bruce, CCHS – Valerie Locke, Northeastern HS –Samantha Hedley, Emmanuel Christian HS – and Aubree Akers, Northwestern HS.
Congratulations to Gabe Ward, Youth of the Year! Gabe is currently President of the National Honor Society and is involved with the Wind Ensemble, AFJROTC, Hope Squad, and Kitty Hawk Air Society Gabe plans on attending Wright State to major in computer science and minor in music. First Runner-Up is Valerie Locke, and Second Runner-Up is Samantha Fadley.
