The Exchange Club of Springfield met virtually, Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 6:00 PM via Webex, with ten members and one guest present. Guest Speaker was Deb McCullough from On-The-Rise. Located in a unique country setting on an eight acre farm just outside of Springfield, Ohio, On-The-Rise serves at-risk youth in Clark County struggling with family, social, educational, and behavioral issues. Deb reported that due to the pandemic protocols student visits to the farm were not advised, so On-The-Rise improvised and prepared and delivered hundreds of meals for the students and families. Deb hopes to resume the student involvement in farm life soon with all the benefits derived from the positive experience of raising animals.
