The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday, February 8, 2022, Noon, at Wittenberg University’s Benham-Pence Student Center Alumni Room, with 15 members and 14 guests attending. Youth Committee Chair Karen Sullivan presented the final high school senior student Youths of the Month accompanied by their Guidance Counselors. The students were, Emily Kestner-Northwestern, Dordy Bernard -Springfield, Brecklin Whisler – Kenton Ridge, Kyrie Cameron – Emmanuel Christian, Sara Peadbody -Catholic Central, Ryan Flax – Southeastern, and Kay DeVore – Greenon. Abby Rohrer – CTC was unable to attend due to a HS sporting event. Each student received a $100 honorarium, a Youth of the Month Certificate, and the opportunity to enter the National Exchange Club Youth of the Year contest. The Springfield Exchange Club Youth of the Year will receive a $1,000 college scholarship, 1st runner-up a $750 college scholarship, and 2nd runner-up a $ 500 college scholarship. The winner will also be entered in the Ohio-West Virginia District Youth of the Year contest, the winner of which will receive an additional $ 1,000 scholarship and be entered into the National Exchange Club Youth of the Year contest, the winner of which will receive a $15,000 college scholarship and a trip to the National Exchange Club 2022 Convention in Greenville, South Carolina in July.
