The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio, met Tuesday August 23, 2022, 7:00 AM, at the Masonic Community Lindner Center with ten members and one guest present. Guest Speaker was Leann Castillo, Director of the National Trail Parks and Recreation Department.
Leann explained that with over 24 parks and multiple recreation facilities, National Trail offers a wide variety of recreation opportunities for our residents and visitors. From bike trails to basketball courts there is truly something for everyone
Annually, National Trail has more than 97,000 program participants in hundreds of sports, recreational, cultural and environmental programs. These program opportunities are available for people of all ages and abilities throughout Clark County.
National Trail Parks and Recreation District is an extensive parks and recreation system encompassing a multitude of facilities and program opportunities for the residents of Clark County. This Joint Recreation District was formed when the City of Springfield Parks and Recreation Department and the Clark County Recreation Department joined as one agency.
The District manages over 1,100 acres of beautiful parks and facilities and nearly 30 miles of multi-use trails. Staff members are dedicated to providing quality parks, facilities, services, and programs for the residents of Clark County.
