The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio held it’s 74th Annual Kid’s Day Games at the Clark County Fair on Wednesday July 26, 2023. An estimated 100 kids enjoyed Foot Races, Sack Races, Egg on a Spoon races, and the much anticipated Egg Toss on a very toasty afternoon at the Fair track. Some 20 club members distributed program flyers in the morning, met for a communal lunch, and then hustled to the track to manage the many aspects of the game, including cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of the various contests. Along with athletic pursuits, the Clark County Public Library Bookmobile group teamed up with Exchange to provide summer intellectual opportunities, (and much appreciated popsicles), so mind and body were enriched today. Many thanks to Chair Mark Sullivan and Exchange Members Tim, Jill, Teresa, Skip, Mark L, Karen L, Alan, Karen H, Jim, Carol, Larry, Bev, Peg, Don, Marilyn, Dan, Melissa, Carin, and Bonnie. Also, many thanks to Val and other “Auxiliary Exchange Members” who helped in many ways. A good time was had by all, except perhaps, by the eggs…
