The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday September 24th, 2024, 6 PM, in the Alumni Room on the campus of Wittenberg University, with 16 members present. Guest Speaker was Deb McCullough from On-The-Rise. Deb brought us to speed on what the 22-year-old organization was doing for the youth of our county. Teens-On-The-Rise is a program designed to offer teens of high school age experiences to help them be responsible and productive as they grow into adulthood. Informative sessions are based on real life readiness. Sessions will be in comfortable format with teens, providing input on what areas they need help to master their strengths and assist with weaknesses. A pre and post-test will be taken to monitor the needs of teens. Hands on learning experiences will occur on site and off site for enriched learning. The farm still operates as one would expect and has added a new chicken coop to house the hens and rooster in style. On-The-Rise sells meat and produce at the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market in Springfield, Ohio. Executive Director McCullough accepted a Foundation donation in the amount of $750 dollars from Foundation Treasurer Don Lynam and Club President Skip Warner.
