There are 30 miles of trails, 19 playgrounds and 48 athletic courts, fields, and 7 diamonds. Not to mention over 164 acres of wetlands, nature’s untouched oasis. All this with a small staff, and a maintenance staff of 24 that swells to over 100 during the summer with part timers. The Fall Activity Guide is available now, cataloging the multitude of events for youths, families, fitness opportunities, and entertainment. The Clark County Park System and National Trail Parks and Recreation Departments, after a 13 year negotiation period, have merged into a single administrative organization, with Leann as Director. President Skip Warner presented a Foundation donation of $250 to Director Castillo.
