Members of the Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio responded to a request for assistance from Business Member Project Woman this past week. The installation of One Baby Changing Table and Two Bulletin Boards was completed by Exchange Members Carin Little, Alan Peczkowski, David Sauter, Mark Sullivan, and Skip Warner in a two-hour morning session on March 20, 2025. Well done Exchange Members!
Additionally, it was requested that one large couch be relocated to the Chrysalis Shelter Facility in Springfield. An opportunity for excellence was presented when it was discovered that the couch legs had to be removed to fit through the door. In addition, the aforementioned door had to be removed to allow the passage of the couch, and the double entry doors into the building required the removal of an “upper latch” to release the door so it could be opened. Exchange Member Dave saved the day by thinking to bring his “Bucket of ‘Do Over Dave Stuff’ of Everything Tools”, without which the couch would not have been delivered. Other items moved were one Round Dining Room Table with four Chairs, one TV, TV Console & Remote for TV, One Dresser with Drawers, Two Nightstands, two large Glass Top End Tables with ornate metal legs, one Lamp, and a Partridge in a Pear… well maybe not the last one there. All this on the afternoon of March 20th, 2025, in three and a half hours, a model of skill and efficiency! Well done, Exchange Members Terry Rust, David Sauter, and Skip Warner. This is what we all signed up for! Two completed projects in one day! Unity for Service!
