The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio, at Wittenberg’s BPSC Alumni Room for a regularly scheduled club meeting with 17 members present: Jill, Tim, Rusty, Andy, Carin, Karen H. Jackie, Peg, Bev, Janet, Dave, Scott, Larry, Alan, Don L, Karen S, Mark S. and one guest present. President-Elect Jill presided in the absence of President Skip. After the Invocation and Pledge, Jill called on Mark Sullivan, the club’s IPP, to preside over the Nomination and Election of Officers and Directors for 2025-26 beginning July 1, 2025, through June 30th, 2026. The results are, President – Jill Parker, President-Elect – OPEN, Secretary – David Sauter, Treasurer- Peg Haemmerle. For the three Directorships with a 2-year term (2025-27), Janet Sauter, Jackie Downing, and Beverly Sewell. With nominations and elections completed, IPP Mark turned the meeting over to PE Jill, who led discussions on upcoming projects such as the dedication of a new Freedom Shrine at Southeastern High School in South Charleston, Ohio, activity regarding the fundraiser for the Foundation, the staffing of our club informational table at the Older American’s Day Luncheon on May 6th, 2025, presented by United Senior Services, the presentation of the Proudly We Hail recipients at the club meeting on May 13th, 2025, a discussion of a proposal by the club board of directors to raise club dues due to the increase in Liability and Crime Insurance Fees, Convention Fee, and a proposed Member Dues increase from the National Exchange Club. No members raised objections to the increase in quarterly dues from $40 to $46 beginning July 1, 2025. A discussion was held for a new project at Project Woman for children, which would potentially occur in the month of June, and qualify the club to earn the Children’s Day patch from National. This was the last regularly scheduled club meeting of this academic year that we will hold at Wittenberg. Meetings will be held at either the Park Branch or the Main Branch of the Clark County Public Library until the new academic year begins. Please refer to the weekly bulletin for the meeting locations.
