The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Clark County Public Library with 19 members and 2 guests present. The club welcomed potential new member Pastor John Humphreys, guest of Terry Rust. Guest Speaker was Major David Rhodes, Salvation Army. Major Dave related that 25 special needs kids had a great time with this year’s six week day-camp. Our club helps to sponsor the event. Many local vendors such as Young’s Dairy and Rudy’s Barbecue are very generous in providing food and fun to the group. Other projects that Major David spoke of included extensive case management to 25 families, as well as providing lunch and support each Tuesday noon to those in need. They will begin to provide showers to those who may indeed be bathing in Buck Creek in lieu of available facilities and also seek to provide hygiene products to them. Major Dave hopes to expand the reach of the Army to the Clark County towns and villages, too. Major Dave accepted a $1,000 Foundation donation from Foundation President Larry Sewell.
