The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday, February 10th in Wittenberg University’s Benham-Pence Student Center Alumni Room. Youth Chair Karen Sullivan presented six high school seniors and their Counselors: Youths of the Month Jackson DeWitt representing Global Impact STEM Academy, Iris Raffensberger representing Springfield HS, Alyssa Ekey representing Shawnee, Hannah O’Laughlin representing Southeastern, Andrew Grieser representing Northwestern, and Mila Trulock from Kenton Ridge. Each senior student received a $100 stipend and Youth of the Month certificate and will be eligible for the Youth of the Year contest and a chance at a $1,000, $750, or $500 college scholarship. The club’s selection will be entered in the OH-WV District Exchange Club’s Youth of the Year contest and it’s $1,500 college scholarship. Springfield’s Youth of the Year has won the last three District Youth of the Year awards. The District winner will be entered into competition for the National Exchange Club’s Youth of the Year and a $15,000 college scholarship. Good luck to all the contestants!
