The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio welcomed Cark County D.A.R.E Deputies Lisle and Elliot Tuesday September 8, 2026 at its regularly scheduled meeting in the Alumni Room of the Benham-Pence Student Center on the Campus of Wittenberberg University. The DARE program has evolved with a new cirruculum designed for the current needs of students in the fifth, seventh, and high school grades. Once primarily concerned with drugs and gangs etc. today’s youth face mental health crisis, vaping, gun violence, and domestic violence and so DARE – Define, Assess, Respond, and Evaluate are modern meaning of the acronym. The deputies accepted a $500 foundation donation from club president Jill Parker to assist them in their good work.
