The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday March 11th, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in the private meeting room of the Park Shopping Center Branch of the Clark County Public Library, with 6 guests present: Terry, Tigers Exchange Club President Jeff, Tigers Exchange Club President-Elect Matt, Tigers members Jason and Paris, and 13 members present: Skip, Carin, Tim, Andy, Jerry, Scott, Larry, Janet, Dave, Peg, Joy, and Don. Guest Speaker was Shelby Lowe, Director of the CC Child Advocacy Center, who stated that in 2024 there were 240 cases of serious child abuse cases investigated, compared with 238 cases investigated in 2023. The Clark County CAC has eight full time staff including four forensic investigators. Director Lowe accepted a Foundation donation of $750 from Foundation Board Members Andy Kittles and Skip Warner. The funds will be used to help sponsor a public seminar presented by the CAC on April 17, 2025, titled, Gun Violence in Clark County and Its Effect On Our Youth. April is Prevention of Child Abuse Month.
