The Exchange Club of Springfield welcomed Leann Castillo, Director of National Trails Parks and Recreation to its regularly scheduled Noon meeting at Wittenberg University, Tuesday June 5, 2018. Leann accepted a $250 donation from our Foundation from Exchangite Melissa Dabe.
Annually, National Trail has more than 97,000 program participants in hundreds of sports, recreational, cultural and environmental programs. These program opportunities are available for people of all ages and abilities throughout Clark County.
Just because we get older, doesn’t mean we have to leave the fun behind! Adults can spark their curiosity for the natural world or learn a new recreational skill by participating in one of our programs, some of which are designed specifically for an adult audience. Join us for a trail hike, learn to ride a horse, develop a green thumb and become more aware of the natural world around you all while meeting others with similar interests! Programs are offered year-round.
A child’s ability to explore the natural world around them is as important to their development as breathing clean air, eating fruits and vegetables and reading. National Trail offers a wide variety of programs and events that spark curiosity and enable a child to discover the world around them. Some are available for all ages and while others are designed for a particular age range.
