April is The Prevention of Child Abuse Month and the Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio, met today at its noon meeting to assemble Exchange Cares backpacks, each with many items including personal care, coloring books and crayons, journals, and Time-Out Teddy’s, etc. The backpacks will be delivered to the Clark County Department of Jobs and Family Services to be used for children who are placed in protective care. There are 86 children in Foster Care as of this month in Clark County. Thanks to Don Lynam, Teresa Metzger, Larry Sewell, Marylin Gallagher, Melissa Tuttle, Melissa Baker, Chairman Peg Haemmerle, Dan Gallagher, and Bev Sewell for participating in this new project.
