The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met virtually Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 6 PM with twelve members and two guests “present”. Guests were Ohio-West Virginia District Six Director Steve Klipfel from the NW Cincinnati Exchange Club and Guest Speaker Carlisa Parker, Director of the Clark County Child Advocacy Center. Director Parker shared with us that funding grants have been drastically curtailed by the state. Fortunately, the CAC has support from the Department of Jobs and Family Services. Carlisa reported that they had over 250 reported cases of child abuse in Clark County last year. The pandemic has also created a significant increase in instances of domestic violence. The Exchange Club Foundation of Springfield will send a donation of $1,000 to the CAC to assist them in their good works.
