The Exchange Club of Springfield welcomed a Mock Trial Team from Springfield High School. The Mock Trial Team compete against teams locally, nationally and even internationally. They have been very successful and are known to be feared by their opponents. A number of local attorneys coach the teams and spend a great deal of time perfecting the students delivery, demeanor, and writing skills as they create briefs and learn their assigned roles as judge, prosecutor, defense attorney and witnesses, etc. The Exchange Club Foundation will provide a stipend in the amount of $1,000 to aide in their continuing successes.
