The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday July 12, 2022, 5:30 PM at COhatch in downtown Springfield, with 16 members and 1 guest present. Thanks Melissa Tuttle for hosting! Guest Speaker was Commander Paul Weber with the Clark State Police Academy. The Clark State Basic Peace Officer Training Academy celebrated its 50th anniversary in August of 2019. Clark State offers four peace officer training academies each year—four-month daytime academies and six-month evening academies are each held twice a year. Each academy is limited to 25 cadets, with a minimum of ten per class. The cost of the Basic Peace Officer Training Academy is approximately $5575 for tuition and fees. Fees include the required Ohio Criminal Code Handbook, some uniform apparel, and other items.
