The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met for its regularly scheduled Member Meeting Tuesday June 27, 2023, 6 PM, at COhatch. with 14 members and 1 guest present. Guest Speaker was Leann Castillo from the National Trails Park and Recreation Department, who related all the amazing improvements recently in the park system. The Snyder Park tennis courts have all been resurfaced and a number of them are designated for the newest sporting craze, pickleball! Also at Snyder Park, the old golf course is continuing to evolve into a nature park, with a number of different environments and 3 miles of trails. Davey Moore Park will see boxing related themes as well as a skate park. Other city parks will also have upgrades to things like basketball courts and lighting. Old Reid Park has been transformed and upgraded, and the former pay lake is now open to the public at no charge. Over 600 trees have been planted there! Leann is pictured accepting a Foundation donation of $250 from club member Carin Little.
