The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio participated in the Summer Arts Festival by ‘Passing the Hat’ at the festival. This is a jewel of our community in its 57th year. The free concerts, plays, and events are held in a beautiful outdoor theater in Cliff Park. The two dozen opportunities for citizens to see live performances are sponsored by local businesses, Dr. Robert Bennett’s family, and by donations collected by volunteer organizations each evening. Our club’s collectors were, Skip, Karen and Mark L., Peg H, Jill and Tim P, Don L, Alan P, Karen H, Carin L, Larry and Bev S, and our great ‘auxiliary members’ Herb and Nance F. It was quite a competition for bragging rights as to who collect the most cash. One thing is clear, the community is the ultimate winner!
