The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday August 27th, 2024, at the CC Public Library Main Branch with 16 members and two guests present. Guest Speakers were from Project Woman. Amber and Audrey presented on the upgrades to the shelters. About 60 boxes of furniture items were transported, assembled, and put in place by our club members. The several shelters totaled over almost 4,000 nights in shelter from July 2023-April 2024, among 170 survivors, with 85 adults and 85 children, due to domestic violence incidents in our county. The average stay was 30 days. Executive Director Laura Baxter with Amber and Audrey accepted a Foundation Donation of $1,000 from club board member Tim Parker and club President Don ‘Skip ‘Warner.
