On Wednesday October 11, 2024, Chair Karen L and members of the Memorial Bench Bottlecap Committee, Skip, Mark L, and Larry met at Enon Primary school to help dedicate a ‘Buddy Bench’ that the club had facilitated for the students. The students, many of them on the Autism spectrum, collected and sorted the caps for the bench. What a beautiful day it was. It was especially uplifting to see and feel the excitement from the kids.
Sally Henrick at Clark Education Center (CEC) Enon School, Director of Special Education, led the brief ceremony as the students ‘tried out’ the bench.
