The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 6 PM, on the campus of Wittenberg University, with 13 members present. Guest Speaker was Jack Legg from WellSpring. Mr. Legg spoke at length about the many offerings from WellSpring including Mental health counseling services for individuals, in-person or via telehealth, in Clark and Champaign counties. SPARK, the Home Visiting program that helps pre-school aged children to be ready for Kindergarten by screening and then working with the parents on lessons and materials brought into the home at each session. Jack spoke about PAX offered by many schools in the county to promote positive social behaviors and good decision-making skills. He spoke about FAST, Bolvin Lifeskills, and Youth-Led prevention offerings as students’ progress through higher grade levels. A very impressive set of programs designed to help students and their families to learn to select good choices, positive attitudes, and coping with life’s travails. Jack accepted a Foundation Donation from Don Lynam in the amount of $750 to continue their good works.
