The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio met at Tim and Jill Parker’s lovely home, with fourteen members present, to celebrate the Christmas Season as well as the 103rd Anniversary of its Charter in the National Exchange Club. Four contestants vied for the Champion of Chili Title and the competition was fierce. In addition, a Dominus of Desserts was also crowned after a sweet struggle amongst the contestants. The hors d’oeuvres, and creative adult beverages were amazing, at least as far as anyone can remember. According to long established custom, the club member with the longest service present at the party has the honor of cutting the cake. This year 45-year member Don Lynam proudly presided. Well done, Don! Many, many thanks to our hosts, Tim and Jill Parker! A great time of fun and fellowship! Oh, and after the votes had been tabulated and certified the Champs were, Larry Sewell, Chili, and Janet Sauter for an amazing blueberry crumb pie with vanilla ice cream. Oh, yeah…
