DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield will honor Rosemary Clark of the Clark County Parks District for the many ways and many years she has provided exceptional service to the people of Clark County\, with the Book of Golden Deeds Award.  The presentation dinner will be held in George Rogers Clark Park at the Silverheels Shelter House near Hosterman Lake at 6:00 PM. \nVolunteer efforts are very important to our society and should not go unnoticed. The National Exchange Club’s longest running project\, the Book of Golden Deeds Award\, recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live. Ever since the Exchange Club of Huntington\, Ind.\, sponsored the first award in 1919\, thousands of unsung heroes and heroines have been recognized.  The Book of Golden Deeds Award exemplifies The National Exchange Club’s beliefs.

Award and a $ 1\,000 scholarship. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1948\, and one of the most popular Exchange youth projects\, the Youth of the Month/Year Award recognizes hard-working high school students who attain high levels of scholastic achievement\, community involvement\, and leadership. This proven program not only rewards outstanding young people\, but also provides an incentive for other youngsters to strive for equally high levels of achievement. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1992\,  the Accepting the Challenge of Excellence Program recognizes high school students who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance during their high school years or have overcome other serious physical or emotional adversities during their high school years.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield will hold its National Day of Community Service scheduled for 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM\, Saturday October 26\, 2019\, Tuttle Road Adopt-A-Highway cleanup\, meeting at the corner of Tuttle Road and US 40 East.  Brunch and Fellowship will occur at Bob Evans immediately after the completion of the cleanup.  Materials such as trash bags\, gloves\, etc. will be provided.
