This year we honor not one but two.  Kathryn Howard\, nominated by the Springfield Soup Kitchen\, and The Clark County Medical Reserve Corps\, nominated by the Clark County Health Department. \nVolunteer efforts are very important to our society and should not go unnoticed. The National Exchange Club’s longest running project\, the Book of Golden Deeds Award\, recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live. Ever since the Exchange Club of Huntington\, Ind.\, sponsored the first award in 1919\, thousands of unsung heroes and heroines have been recognized.  The Book of Golden Deeds Award exemplifies The National Exchange Club’s beliefs.

SUMMARY:Kid's Day at the Clark County Fair Games
DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club will meet Wednesday July 27\, 2022\, 1:00 PM\, to hold the 73rd Annual Kid’s Day at the Clark County Fair Games at the race track.  These games for youth 5 -16 consist of various foot races\, sack races\, Spoon egg race\, and Long Egg Toss.  Cash prizes will be awarded as well as cash raffles. \nClub Members will distribute Programs at the gates from 8:00 AM to 11:30: AM. Club members will meet at the Swine Barn for lunch at Noon and then proceed to the racetrack for setup.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield\, Ohio will rededicate a Freedom Shrine\, Wednesday June 22\, 2022\, Noon\, on the Fifth Floor of the County Municipal Court Building\, 50 E Columbia St\, Springfield\, Ohio.  Chair Alan Peczkowski will introduce Past Ohio-West Virginia District President Larry Sewell who will preside over the re-dedication ceremony.. \nThe Freedom Shrine is an impressive\, permanently mounted collection of 30 of the most important and historic American documents\, including the Declaration of Independence\, the Constitution of the United States and the Gettysburg Address. They show our nation’s youth the strength and courage of their forefathers by allowing them to read\, with their own eyes\, the immortal words of inspired Americans who so decisively changed the course of history.
