Diabetes Dayton has been sending children to summer camp since 1963\, with the goal of providing a fun and safe outdoor experience to children living with type 1 diabetes. Camp Ko-Man-She is a summer camp for 7-18 year-olds living with type 1 diabetes. The camp is held annually at the YMCA Camp Willson Outdoor Recreation Center\, which is located just outside of Bellefontaine.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield will present the Proudly We Hail project at the Noon meeting on Tuesday April 28\, 2020. \nNo symbol better signifies our nation’s greatness than our American flag—the Stars and Stripes. The Proudly We Hail program encourages regular display of the flag by individuals\, commercial establishments and industries. To honor them a specially designed plaque is presented at a club meeting. Every club member can participate in the program because it is the individual member who watches for and nominates potential recipients. This outstanding program promotes Americanism as well as community recognition by the sponsoring Exchange Club.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield selected Kyle Ewing from CCHS as Youth of the Year recipient of the $1\,000 college scholarship. Logan Myer from CTC was selected as 1st Honorable Mention and will receive a $500 scholarship\, and Kyla Tuttle from Southeastern will receive a $250 college scholarship for 2nd Honorable Mention. \nEmily Ware was selected for the A.C.E. Award and a $ 1\,000 scholarship. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1948\, and one of the most popular Exchange youth projects\, the Youth of the Month/Year Award recognizes hard-working high school students who attain high levels of scholastic achievement\, community involvement\, and leadership. This proven program not only rewards outstanding young people\, but also provides an incentive for other youngsters to strive for equally high levels of achievement. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1992\,  the Accepting the Challenge of Excellence Program recognizes high school students who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance during their high school years or have overcome other serious physical or emotional adversities during their high school years.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Clubs of Region 7 of the National Exchange Club will hold its regularly scheduled Region Summit for the Ohio-West Virginia\, the Michigan\, and the Indiana District Exchange Clubs in Ft. Wayne\, Indiana on Friday and Saturday November 1st and 2nd\, 2019 in Don Hall’s Guest House Hotel\, 1313 W. Washington Center Road Fort Wayne\, IN 46825. \nThere will be District Board of Directors Meetings Friday November 1\, 2019\, from 4 PM to 6:00 PM.  The Summit will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM\, Saturday November 2\, 2019.  Topics will include Projects for the Prevention of Child Abuse\, Recruiting for Understrength Clubs\, Club Member Retention\, Leadership Development\, Partnering with the Veterans Matter Organization\, Public Relations\, and the Role of the District Director.  Cost is $20 per person\, which includes lunch.  Registration details will be available soon. \nCall the Don Hall’s Guest House Hotel\, (260) 489-2524\, by October 4\, 2019 to reserve a room at the National Exchange Club negotiated rate of $ 109.00 per night.  Pet friendly\, dogs\, for an additional $20.00.
