Diabetes Dayton has been sending children to summer camp since 1963\, with the goal of providing a fun and safe outdoor experience to children living with type 1 diabetes. Camp Ko-Man-She is a summer camp for 7-18 year-olds living with type 1 diabetes. The camp is held annually at the YMCA Camp Willson Outdoor Recreation Center\, which is located just outside of Bellefontaine.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield will present the Proudly We Hail project at the Noon meeting on Tuesday April 28\, 2020. \nNo symbol better signifies our nation’s greatness than our American flag—the Stars and Stripes. The Proudly We Hail program encourages regular display of the flag by individuals\, commercial establishments and industries. To honor them a specially designed plaque is presented at a club meeting. Every club member can participate in the program because it is the individual member who watches for and nominates potential recipients. This outstanding program promotes Americanism as well as community recognition by the sponsoring Exchange Club.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield selected Kyle Ewing from CCHS as Youth of the Year recipient of the $1\,000 college scholarship. Logan Myer from CTC was selected as 1st Honorable Mention and will receive a $500 scholarship\, and Kyla Tuttle from Southeastern will receive a $250 college scholarship for 2nd Honorable Mention. \nEmily Ware was selected for the A.C.E. Award and a $ 1\,000 scholarship. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1948\, and one of the most popular Exchange youth projects\, the Youth of the Month/Year Award recognizes hard-working high school students who attain high levels of scholastic achievement\, community involvement\, and leadership. This proven program not only rewards outstanding young people\, but also provides an incentive for other youngsters to strive for equally high levels of achievement. \nA National Exchange Club Program since 1992\,  the Accepting the Challenge of Excellence Program recognizes high school students who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance during their high school years or have overcome other serious physical or emotional adversities during their high school years.

They will also be eligible to participate in the Youth of the Year scholarship program by submitting a written Essay.  First Prize is a $1\,000 college scholarship\, Second Prize garners $500\, and Third Prize results in a $250 college scholarship. The First Prize winner will also be submitted to the Ohio-West Virginia District Youth of the Year contest.  If selected for the District’s Youth of the Year they will receive from the District a $1000 college scholarship and be submitted to the National Youth of the Year contest.  The National Exchange Club Youth of the Year receives a $15\,000 college scholarship.

DESCRIPTION:The Exchange Club of Springfield will honor local high school seniors as Youth of the Month.  The YoM selectees will each receive a Certificate and an honorarium of $100. They will also be eligible to participate in the Youth of the Year scholarship program by submitting a written Essay.  First Prize is a $1\,000 college scholarship\, Second Prize garners $500\, and Third Prize results in a $250 college scholarship.
