The Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio sponsored a Human Trafficking Seminar, Wednesday April 23, 2024.
Exchange Club President-Elect Don “Skip” Warner, and Springfield Exchange Foundation President Larry Sewell attended the Human Trafficking 101 Seminar organized by Child Advocacy Center Coordinator Shelby Lowe, at the Hollenbeck-Bayley Conference Center in downtown Springfield. The pair set up an informational table about Exchange, our club, and efforts to address child abuse and human trafficking in Clark County.
The very well attended event included gifted speakers addressing ways to identify human trafficking in our county, as well as how to access state resources. They also provided updated information on legislation in the past few years addressing anomalies in the law, clarifying who the victims really are; Those who are being exploited for labor or sexual trafficking. April is Prevention of Child Abuse Month.
